Default When to cover??

My f4i has been garage kept pretty much since new, but I don't have a garage, so I park her under a roof and cover her. My question is, should I always cover her? She spends most of the day out, since I use her to commute to work/school. As of now, I have been covering her wherever I go. What do you all think?? Too much?
Thanks!!

I have no garage or roof to park under but I cover it everytime at home(I live in a townhouse complex so I don't like leaving it for people to notice either), at work I only bring the cover if it is supposed to rain.

Sun can cause fading as well. If you have to leave her outside, put the cover on.
