I use a cover to help all the junk from getting on my bike and I also use a cleaner/polisher from www.cyclegear.com called Plexus. This stuff is great! Spray on, rub in. This is like the same stuff (Honda polish) the dealers use.

The Honda Waterless B52 Dirt Penitrator Kit. (Could be yours for only $19.95!)

Kidding. The Spray Polish is the way to go. It cleans up well.

Honda makes a spray on cleaner that you can pick up at most (if not all) dealers. It's called "Spray Cleaner & Polish" and you can pick up a 14 oz. can for about $5. Stuff works great as far as I'm concerned... there are several reviews on this site and others about this cleaner.

I usually use a dampened terry cloth towel to remove all the rough stuff (dirt/bugs/etc) then I'll use the Honda Polish to bring out the luster.

The california duster, it works great. Plexus spray works good on the windscreen and plastics too, but if its just pollen try the duster it works great.

Never wash the California Duster. You can shake it off, but there's a coating on the fibers, so don't wash or scrub it. Just shake off any large dirt particles, etc.
