WGP Tank Pad
Bought a tank pad the other day to replace the cheap looking Progrip pad that was on the bike when I purchased it. The new one is so nice I thought I'd share it with you guys.
It's called WGP Protective Tank Pad, sold on e-Bay by TunerX-Factory-MOTORPARTS for $19.50 (shipping included). Took about a week to receive it. Now I couldn't find WGP Sports Mfg. anywhere online, and the vendor claims to be in Canada, although the package was shipped from Taiwan. But whatever; as long as it's received and it's what you paid for, right, lol.
The design is rather unique which is what I was after, but what's really cool is the faux carbon fiber in it. It looks very much like the real thing. It's amazing. You'd be hard pressed to tell this wasn't real CF, which is exactly what I was looking for. The polymer is the typical tank-pad type. The adhesive backing is 3M (the best), the aluminum foil type.
I'll post pics when it's put on the tank.

It's more of a dark purple, imo. I haven't looked at it in the sun yet. When light's not shined on it, it looks black (those pics are with a flash).
Regarding the price, it's in the second paragraph of the first post, lol. I was just jerking your chain with the Russian quote. It's $19.50... BTW, I don't speak Russian.

Well, for some reason my camera somehow picks up a purple hue when I photograph it. But to the naked eye, there is no color to it; just black with the highlights. Also the flash seems to have accentuated that color...

Nope, just the fake carbon, in as far as I know. That e-Bay store (above) is the only place I've seen it.
