Painted Windshield??

Lightbulb Painted Windshield??

I want a black windshield but not pay 80$ for a new one. I was gunna tint it but i heard it was pretty difficult so im thinkin of painting only on the inside flat black. ive seen a few done and they dont look to bad. any suggestions?

you can find ones on ebay for like 20-30 bucks, don't know where you were lookin

well i went ahead and sprayed it black. turned out really good. and only cost 6$.

What kind of paint did you use? Painted windshields tend to bubble really badly after a while.

it was kyron black for plastic. figured i would try it. ya ive heard it tends to bubble but i figured i would take the chance. ill try and figure out how to post some pics and show yall

i just airbrushed mine. It came out awesome! What do you guys think?

sand the underside with 1500 water sandpaper , clean it with dawn then
mix alittle black in with the clear and spray it ...... works really good ..... doing mine next week .........

take your windscreen off, make a hanger out of a bent up coat hanger to hang it from. buy a can of 3M adhesive remover. Apply a liberal amount of 3M and wipe clean with paper towl or something lint free. Buy a can of VHT Nightshade's headlight tint. Spray it on in very light mist, make sure to hang it properly so you can get even coats of paint. the first coat should look splotchy with clear and painted spots. apply a fresh coat every 10-15 minutes in a light fashion. After about 3 coats you should have a nice finish. if you add more coats it will keep getting darker until its non-transparent so go light.
