HOW DO I CLEAN MY RIMS??????????????
ok here is the deal i got my rims powdercoated gold and now since i cleaned my chain and lubed it i got all that crap all over my back rim (and it looks brown instead of gold) and i tryed soap and that special stuff that i cleam my car wheels with and it dont help is there something else that im missing...??????? thank all in advance
can't help with the cleaning of the wheels, but to prevent that from happening again lube the inside of your chain, centrifugal force will pull thelube tothe outside for you. It will save you a big mess.
On my dirt bike I have this problem all the time because I like to keep my chain lubed very well. I use chain cleaner. Just spray it on the wheel and it comes right off. I dont know if it will react with the powder coating though.
fyi:
if you use any automotive rim/brake dust cleaner, make sure it is acid FREE!!! wheel cleaners that have acid in it might damage the p/c. look at the bottle and make sure it doesnt contain acid.

I use Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish to clean my bike. You may not be able to get it in your state (depending on your state) but you can still get it from various out-of-state web sites.
my rims are powder coated red. they have gotten a little dull. i was wondering if there is something out there that will bring the color back to life.
