ok need help with this one ,,what will replace the mirrors on a 88 1000f ???? rubber boot tore and cant find replacements any idea on this would be great thanks

 

Best option is e-Bay
I don't think Davidsilverspares or Wemoto would keep them, and to get from Honda will cost you your pension. If I see any I'll let you know.
What colour do you need ?
Sometimes www.e-Bay.de (Germany is an option- I have bought spares from them) Plenty of 1000F's there.

As for generics - I don't know if the later model mirrors are the same bolt distances as the Mk1 - maybe if you measure them, there may be mirrors from something else without boots and a bit longer........

 

a heads up would be great, i was thinking of checking out a auto parts store to see if they had anything .... i am looking for black but will look at anything that will work thank in advance harleyguy

Hi mate there are a few standard 88 mirrors on ebay uk at the moment check them out, they might swnd them or you could organise collection your self. Might help you who knows.....

was looking into this myself as mine have been painted and its flaking off the rubber boot,can you no longer get just the rubber boot?
want mine to be black

 

put a set of mirrors on that i pick up , i dont think they look bad pic of them are in my gallery ,, they are not as long as the others but not bad .. have not rode to far with them on about 10 miles or so .... almost low profile look

 

Got a set of aftermarket mirrors for my '88 recently ... the one's with the built in indicators and finished in black! .... No idea on the quality yet long term, but I'll keep you posted! .... A mate of mine has had 'em on his CBR for a year or so with no problems!!! .... Here's hoping!
