Going through the bike to get her back on the road today and the tail fell onto the garage floor, cracked in a couple places and caused some of the clear coat to blister/crack. Obviously it's just cosmetic, but if i'm going to sand and paint one from scratch (again...damn) and someone has a tail that's in good shape they're willing to sell I figure I'd go that route first. I only see one on ebay (US) currently.

Hear ya I saw that one too as I 'm on the lookout for a Gen 3 Tail myself to put on
my 1990 , kinda fed up with the 90 taillight look

 

Mines on eBay right now probably the one you're talking about. It has a small bit of rash on one side but is otherwise in good shape with all the tabs as they should be. If it doesn't sell on ebay this time I'd do $60 shipped.
