Default 1988 CBR1000 Motor

Mines starting, after 96K miles, to use oil. Looking for a replacement with lower miles.

Steve, he turned down my half offer and says he's able to hang on to it as long as needed to get close to his price. Wish him luck. I could buy another bike for that price. Still looking.

Default Haha, I saw that post too

I live near seattle, and was looking at that engine. I emailed him too, the dude is totally insane. He'll have that engine long after everyone's forgotten what a cbr1000F ever was. Can't you throw the engine from any year into a 1000F frame? Are the dimensions different at all?

Yup, I'd be better off buying another bike (same year group) and having a few other spare parts. I've been told other engines won't fit the frame.
