Default Headers or full exhaust system (1990)

Hi there,

I'm looking for a 4-to-1 headers for my 1990 cbr1000f (mine got rusted), or the entire exhaust system. There are a few on ebay right now, but they are listed for either an 87-88 model, or for a 93-96 model. Does anybody knows if one of these will fit a 90 model?

Thanks!
Javier.

I wouldn’t bother with just the headers mate. You’ll end up chasing your tail with leaks and fails over the remainder of the exhaust in time. Just the process of the removal to swap your header can cause other joints to stress and fail sooner than expected.
A fresh system is worry over really. You can then enjoy the sound of your bike instead of listening all the time for the next exhaust issue.
Just my thoughts mate, best of luck.

I think most of the single end can exhaust systems usually mean you'll loose the centre stand

The exhaust from the later model will fit your 1990 (parts fiche is your friend )

The only difference that I am aware of with the earlier exhaust system is the mounting point on the collector box.

Yes, I am looking to replace the whole exhaust. The bike came with the aftermarket 4-to-1 Vance&Hines system, and got lots of corrosion down the collector area and now has a bunch of wholes. I might keep the slip-on which is in good condition if I can find a replacement for the rest. Another option is to go back to stock, but I haven't found either parts yet (just for different years)

As I said, the bike came to me with the V&H system, and also with the center stand. I would love just to keep it as it is. The replacements I found on ebay are also 4-to-1.

I will try to figure out if they match.
Thanks.

Been off the forum for a while, Do you still need a complete system? I have one off of my '91. Right side canister is dented, been in storage since '95.
