CBR1000F Fairing Complete Set
Just come across this on e-bay.
Have no idea of the quality/fit, but I thought someone with an older bike might be interested as the panels for these are quite rare.

The problem is this kit is for the 1987-1988 CBR1000F, 1989 onwards is a different kit and I can't find one anywhere. I may have to become a plastics/fibreglass expert. My farings are now very brittle and everytime I go for a ride I come back with some new cracks etc.
I am about to do a full restoration and have been chasing replacement farings. They are just not available anywhere

How far gone is your bike if it needs a full restoration? Resale values have been dropping for years. It's unlikely that you'll recoup your restoration expenses (that applies to almost all bike restorations). As a suggestion, how about buying another CBR1000F, with good fairings, and repurpose it into a 'ratbike', while you use the good fairings for your resto. Cheers

I am only an occasional rider, as I drive cars everywhere I need to go, the bike is for pleaure rides only.
Very nice. That's be in the top 10% appearance-wise for that year. I'm in a similar position. Occasional use only. I have fairing tabs (mostly hidden) broken and missing here and there, but they don't detract from the overall appearance. I've seen major fairing pieces on CMSNL.com now and then, but I can't justify the price. I'm happy to run the bike now that I've got it up to a reasonable standard. As I said, these bikes are not an appreciating asset. There are fewer and fewer potential buyers (old age!). Getting it up to the standard you're happy with, and then enjoying it, is the key. Cheers.
