September 2012 Ride of the Month Nomination Thread!

Bike turned out great Volcom. I was hoping that the digital camo would have worked out for you, but it still looks great.
Let's hope that if you win, you wont be getting rid of it right away, like city bike and ramper did... Besides, someone has to give nutty a run for ride of the year...

Although it's a little like the designer of the Leaning Tower of Pisa being nominated for an architectual award.
Ok, for those interested and would like to vote for a CBR1000F - I offer cookies and milk as an inducement
The bike was bought a few months ago, as a non runner. Research into the problem and solution led me to this forum where there has been nothing but friendly, unbiased assistance and support for my efforts with the bike. The alternator damper on the bike was not doing its job and had to be replaced. I do all my own work - but asking the guys here how to navigate some of the trickier sections made life MUCH easier.
Hitting that starter the first time with the damper replaced was simply wonderful. Riding the bike was even better.
Then I set about updating the ignition system to stick coils with Sprock very kindly locating a set in the US and posting it to Australia for me.
And meeting up with some of the excellent characters from the forum, such as Naga-Thai, learned new skills such as tuning the 4 carbs properly - with the requisite red wine in hand.
So to sum up, a vote for me is really a vote for the forum, and all those who inhabit it, to make like minded folk around the globe welcome and keep these wonderful bikes on the road.
Cheers, SB
PS I really do have cookies................

Golly, I've broken the rules already, not having been seconded, nor saying I would accept!
My apologies, please don't read the above post until I've been seconded.
We'll take the accepted as read
