Default lost key

Hey Guys,
I have a 2000 CBR F4, I lost the key to my bike and the only thing i can think of is to remove the ignition and take it in to honda to get a new key made. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas let me know.

You will need to take a title with you as well to prove that it is your bike.

honda keys have a code. so, if you have the code a dealership can order it for you.

bring your title and registration and a drivers lisence or some sort of ID. They can get you a key from your VIN number, you just have to prove you own the bike before they go give keys out haha

Yea, I called the dealer to see if I can bring in the vin and the title, but they said they cant do it with 2000 CBR's, so I am trying to remove the switch assembly, cant seem to remove the main bolts though. I'll let you know how it goes, thinking of just hotwiring the bike a riding it to the dealer.

just call a local lock smith. I got the keys for my bike when i lost them at a local locksmith for 25bucks for 2 of them. No title or registration was asked for. Shady i know but didnt matter to me it was way cheaper and way quicker then ordering them or waiting to have them cut and paying two-three times as much

yea, i think that's what I'm going to do, couldn't get the starter out (torx bolt just wouldn't move, spent more on tools to get the bolts out than the locksmith costs lol) , and i would hate to try hotwiring and mess somthing up. anyone watching the race on the speed channel today.
