Talking 88 Honda CBR 400RR

pleasure to be in this race with all you greats bikes! Geeez mines an oldy.
ha

well this i my 88 400RR (nc23).

i heard very little of these made it to U.S. soil, buddy of mine actually purchase it from an Air force gentlemen last summer, then he took off for the Navy and i purchased it him.
only rode her once last summer and oh geee ..its a whole different bike compare to my 600rr. so this summer , i'll actually be doing some riding on her, she is a bit old, so maybe a weekend bike, cause parts and tires are some what hard to find now -a-days for her.As far as mod go, not much on her. pretty stock. some small tweak here and there but nothing crazy.
Here some more picture of her.Give her a vote! thank you

Thanks for this opportunity to show off my bike. I see a few new ones yet again!

It's an '01 F4i.

I purchased this with just 1100 miles this past May, 2012! One owner and a lady that was afraid of it. I picked it up this past year. It was bone stock when I got it and had the original tires on it too.

You can see more detailed pics in my gallery I created. More to come as I add more to the bike.

Not your average exhaust. It's an RS 3 exhaust but I cut the mid pipe off and had my buddy do a custom v-band stainless mid pipe with a wide band bung for my future mods. Bottle and some misc items are on my list.

Another pic of the custom v-band with tig welding.

New gauge with A&N fittings and new sheathing for the wiring.

A Powerlet for my bike. Works awesome! I just installed this using mil spec connectors since I didn't like how the harness came.

Pic to show the tig welding and the wide band bung once I get my new wide band down the road.

Mods to date are:

. lowered
. fender eliminator kit (all ARP hardware since the kit came with IMPERIAL BOLTS ON A METRIC BIKE!)
. CNC Pazzo adjustable levers
. Pilot pure tires (claimed to be lighter)
. ARP throughout
. Fuel pressure gauge with A&N fittings (drill and tapped fuel rail)
. PowerLet power source with Mil spec connectors and harness
. Yoshi RS3 with custom mid pipe with V band and wide band bung
. Go-Pro mounted to the side of the bike
. Frame sliders
. K&N filter

Waiting to tune

. Power Commander not yet installed
. Dyno tune bottle kit not yet installed
. Dyno jet quick shifter
. Puig double bubble not seen in pic cause they sent wrong one!

Default 1992 F2 swap to 2004-05 CBR1000RR Repsol

My bike is an old 1992 Honda CBR 600 F2 with over 50k miles LOL. I got tired of the ugly cyclops headlight and nasty looking dual seat. So stripped the bike naked and bought a used 1000RR full kit off of eBay.

Nothing was cut or permanently modified to the original frame. I can convert back to the F2 quickly. I've seen people do 600RR/F4i swaps, but never a 1000RR full conversion. So I decided to turn my F2 into my dream bike that I couldn't afford...being a full time college student.

I call this bike the "Poor Man's Repsol" hahahahaha Mechanically, everything is stock. Rides like an outdated 600, but gets the attention of a 1000RR Repsol.

Mods: Chopped exhaust/straight pipe, Aftermarket levers, Koso aftermarket digital gauge, 1000RR fairing kit, chicken strip mod.

Here's a video I recently took.

Does this header have a collector? If so, pics. I have a custom made header for my Supra. (Burns makes a collector and supplied the material for my bud to make)

It isn't a collector as such but cool set up. A slip joint is pretty common and clean way to go. I assume you have a wide band and a custom tune for this? I have many parts ready to install on mine. As soon as I get a chance!
