Will it fit

Will a 929 motor fit straight into a 954 frame without any minor enginerring?

No. The swing arm mounting is different.

But with some modification, it could be made to fit.

I think the 954 swingarm is wider than the 929 motor. You might be able to shim it to fit.

Why go with a 929 motor instead of a 954? Seems like a step backwards.

Can get a 954 bike with badly blown engine and can onky find a 929 motor here is S.A.. so not sure whether to buy and do conversion
