What a a**hole
Yeah F-it, just waitin on the new undertail so I can get my baby back on the road again. Somebody in the off topic forum were lookin for a undertail for a F4I but when i told him about the one i had he said it wont fit??? But then again everybody I talked to said they think it will fit a F4I hmmm isnt that strange!
No where in that discription did I read "need to modify to make product fit" or anything like that. How about in the so called instructions that it came with, was it being installed on a 954?
Straight to the point- The description does not say you need to modify your bike. Go to Paypal and file a dispute. You will get your money back and light a fire under his ***. Sucks, but sometimes you need to treat an Ahole like an Ahole...

Let's be honest though guys...
You bought the part a year or so ago and are now just getting it installed? I understand you were in Iraq, but honestly, I guess that's a reason not to buy something that you can't check when it arrives.
For the seller, he's probably like, "wtf? did I sell this guys something?"
Okay, now that I've done my advocating, that sucks man. Sorry to hear about it, is it a 954 specific under or is it for a 929?

Real installation instructions with pictures - Most of our instruction manuals come with cutting pictures (if required), wiring information and step by step removal/install instructions.
A couple of you guys are just surprising me!
Calling him an a$$hole, based on everything I've read from the OP and the auction link, is just uncalled for. His feedback speaks for itself.
15,000+ transactions with a 99+% positive feedback rating... ?
Open your eyes and use 'em folks.

So Kid you consider cutting off your trunk lock and losing your trunk a simple modification???? Secondly the person that said it doesnt look like it would fit their f4i is a member on this forum..... i could really care less bout the damn undertail but for the guy to blow me off instead of tryin to help puts him in the "*******" catagory. ive already purchased a new undertail wit complete picture instructions and im just waiting for it to get here.
I purchased my undertail off EBAY also because it was an original I hadn't seen anywhere else. But I came across a similar problem. I don't know exactly what your undertail looks like on the inside, but I had the same problem with the metal seat lock.
My undertail has a diamond shaped protrusion as part of the mold to hold the lighting and wires. That in turn, didn't slip up far enough into the undertray and frame. What I did is take a drummel and the sanding circle attachment and sand down the casing at an angle. It did open up the casing so that there was a hole and access to the lighting tray, but once I sanded it down enough for it to fit up against the locking brace, I covered the hole with black sealing tape. It was thin enough that it didn't interfer between the undertail and lock brace, but covered enough so that water or debris can't leak into the lighting.
Did it take more work and suck that it didn't fit easy without mod? Yep. But did it work? Yep.
Like I said, I don't know what yours looks like, but if you can do that, rather than screw with your frame and the seat, I would.
Hope this helps.
