Default Valve Adjustment $$$ ???

Anyone have their valve adjustment done? I have 22000kms and I want to get it done. Just wondering how much it will cost.
Also; what are your thoughts of going -1 up front? I dont want to go -1 front and -2 rear. Just -1, will I notice any difference?
THX

I got mine done late... at 26,000 miles. It cost me $500 for the complete service.

I dropped my 954 off for the valve adjustment today ... 14k miles on it, started to hear some clicking. He said it should run a couple hundred bucks so I'm not too worried about it, the dealership I go to is great and they are usually very competitive with their pricing.

usually will be about 350-400 just to check valve clearances...from there, to add shims if the valves are out of spec is just a little more since all the work's pretty much been done. don't forget, you'll also need to get the carb or throttle body synchronized...again cost shouldn't be so much as the bike is apart already.

I just picked my bike up today, 225 for the valves, including adjustment. I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Stock gearing is 16 front and 43 rear which is 2.69:1 going to 15F & 45R will give you 3:1 which will sacrifice top end but produce wheelies with much less effort.
