anyone know where I can get an upper fairing for a decent price? new ones go for like $400 on ebay, Im doing a custom paint job so some damage is no big deal. anyone ever used one of those aftermarket fiberglass pieces? are they all junk or is there a company that makes one that fits decently?

 

$400 on ebay seems crazy, i know i have seen them for less than $100 with some scratches.I guess the usual suspects though, craiglsist, ebay, check for sale section here, check online stores. Dont know of anyplace off the top of my head thats really good though.

 

stay away from fiberglas, its not flexible and never fits well. Keep an eye out on ebay and youll find one that is nice and scratched up that no one wants and will be perfect for you. also like TK said check the classifieds here, 13xforums is great for used parts, fireblades.org, stunters.com, stuntlife.com

there are some more on 13x. I have bought from those guys before and they seem like good people for the most part, no different than your average ebayer. That is where i would go to get beat up fairings, that or stunters sites.

no to glass man...had a dude bring me his new things to spray offa ebay he got a "good deal from" the fiberglass looks like ****...you have to re-drill holes....most the time you see they have repatched there own work or selling you fixed fiberglass thats "new" check your local craigslist if you can

there were like for of them on ebay this morning, they are tough to come by i had a whole set i just sent out to paint when i get them back i might unload the whole fairing set on my bike now
