Default Too good to be true?

My cousin found a 2002 954RR with 1,100 miles for only $2500. I told him it's probably a salvage title or its a scam. The ad says it's never been layed down. What do you think?
Thanks
Jerrad

I say call on it and try it...it doesn;t hurt to try....if the guy says he is over seas for the moment and has the bike with a shipping company it's a scam.

scam. especially if its on ebay. I was warned about that by a buddy of mine when i was shopping for my bike. What they do is adverstise it for that price, and they always say they dont do paypal. They want to go through a third party financial institution, which is not backed by ebay, so youre screwed and lose money. Most of the time, theyll even tell you that you pay, and the money wont be releasedto them untilthey ship you the bike, you take it to get inspected and when you say yes, then the money is transferred. Thats how they lure you in. Most of the time, the bike never even exists. They use someone elses login, and display a different email address fro you to contact them trough. I have seen it a million times. Be careful. That same buddy who warned me of this had a friend who got beat the same way for $3,500.

I was gonna say you're an idiot if you think that's a real deal, but I don't know if you're being serious or not so I'll give you benefit of the doubt... this is a $6500 bike with 10k miles on it...

imagine this ...
a 02 cbr 954 engine w/1k miles 1300$
straight frame 6-700$
straight wheels 200$
not to mention plastics and gas tank ,even the wiring harness parts for over 100.
nobody sells a decent bike from an 01 up for less than 4k unless they are really hurting for cash..
