Thinking of Buying.

Thinking of Buying.
Im thinking of buying a 900RR. It has some flaws and i was wondering what people who know the bikes more than i do thought of them. 2002 Honda CBR 900RR.The upper cowl, mount, both side cowls, left mirror, both bars, both levers, stator cover, stator, crankcase, flywheel bolt, left drivers peg/bracket/shifter, left passenger peg, tail-cowl, left turns, and right front turn are damaged.Tires have good tread. This unit has 3401 miles. I might have a chance to get a hell of a deal on it, how much would it cost to fix the parts that need it to make the bike safely functionable. Also what would you pay for a bike that had this much damage, remember that i dont want to make it perfect condition ?

Man, the deal would have to be a true steal for me to buy that. You never know what problems it really have. It could be cosmetic only, or it could be more. It all depends on what you want. If you want a project bike, it could be right for you. If you want something nice, to ride right away, you may want to keep looking.

I'd say maybe a 500 to get it running again. I would pay close attention to the frame, clip-ons, forks, and swingarm for damage, as any of them will mess with the handling.
My concerns:
Can you bolt a stator cover back on? You may have to be inventive to get that to seal back up...
How much dirt n **** got in there?
