Default Thinking of buying a 2003 CBR 954RR

Hey,
The bike has 8 thousand miles, Micron carbon fiber exhaust. What's the basic problems these bikes usually run into? Do they run good how long do they usually run for? He's asking 4 Thousand for it which seems to be a reasonable price for the miles I suppose. Here's some pictures. Let me know what you guys think
-Thanks

I can only say that the price sounds fair for the year/mileage/perceived condition. There are plenty of threads here about what to look for, and a lot of those things apply to any used bike...so there shouldn't be a lot of voodoo specifically for the 954RR. That's a great looking example in pictures...I hope it works out for you!

Thanks for the reply he says the bike is in great condition and I would say it sure looks it, but you guys have seen them in and out and I'm new to the fireblades so could you tell me what you guys think of it? Are they strong bikes? Run for high miles?

Problems?

The bike usually causes the rider to be addicted.... That's the biggest problem.

The next problem is there is not another common problem....

Bike looks pretty good from what I can see other then the chain needs to be cleaned and relubed from just looking at pictures. Do they last long ??? It'll last as long as you take care of it. I have a neighbor with 78,000 on a 03 and same color as that one pictured.

If the tires need replacing, then see if he'll take $3800, but I'd pay $4,000 for it.
