Default Thanks for all the help and advice...had to sell the 954 today though

The 954 was gonna cost too much for me to fix it up like it should be. So I sold it to some one who is gonna invest some more money in it to get it right. I ended up breaking even on it, I got 3k for it.

Lol, three hours later..I'm on a suk sv1000s. 07 1000 with 25,000 miles modded the F out! About 135 at the wheel. Bought it for 3k from a friend I've known since high school. He was the first owner and it looks near new and its been taken care of. I figured I'd flip it and make money so I can get back on a newer honda liter...

Again thanks for all the help and kindness from here, I'll be back on a honda soon. Even though this suki liter is a beast...

POST PICS OF YOUR SV! And tell us some more details!

I'm glad you got out of it without losing money. Anytime you can go to another bike that runs better for 0 money - you're doing good.

I've always wanted a sv1000. My buddy had a 650 - I liked everything about it except - hp. If it had more, it would have been golden.

135 is a TON of power for an sv though. What mods?

Full yoshi w power commander. Some kind of timing retard eliminator (can't remeber name of it) so 1-5 gears can be wound out all the way with out limiter. clip on bars, cable clutch intead of hydro. Factory steering stabilizer,Rebuilt front forks with stiffer zx9r fork springs. Sagg and suspension set for my weight. Lighter parts (520 chain/ sproc kit, 1 tooth down in front) and deleted other parts to drop 30 pounds of weight off. Gsxr 1000 front brake master cylinder. Throttle plates positioned slightly opened at zero throttle/ idle. Tps sensor slightly tweaked. Seats have thicker/ softer cushion and rewrapped with weather proof marine vynal.

Damn thing rides so plush, handles like its on a rail. Sounds beast, doesn't burn a drop of oil. Its black, looks near new. I'll have pics up soon. Thanks

Btw, he is saying it should be it should be around 130-135 range hp at wheel. I'll see soon on dyno.

Watch that GSXR master cylinder. Check and make sure it doesn't fall under the recall (which it prolly does).

Good luck getting back on a Honda.

Maybe put a brembo R1 M/C on it.

It's radial.

My friends SV1000S had 111 at wheel whit full Yoshi and custom tune in the same dyno my 954 had 134 whit slipon. That sounds a bit optimistic but nice bike! I love how my friends SV looks whit full fairings.

Yeah, I bit over maybe. I'm still doing some research to investigate hp at wheel on this bike. Seems different years have diff hp ratings. Earlier years have lower hp. I've seen as high as around 115-120 range stock on some claims but, I don't know what it is for sure on mine until a dyno run or three. Anyway, its for sale now for slightly under kbb. I'll see what it brings.

Pretty looking bike. I'd ride the sh*t out of that.

(and of course, modify it beyond recognition...)
