I put new oil on my bike motul 15w 40 which normally here in S.A. we use 20w 50 because our climate and when starting from cold after a day or 2 theres a louder metallic sound from motor where before oil change wasnt as loud(normal sound) but after 1 min of idling it goes away and bike sounds normal The bike rides 100% like before just this noise when starting any ideas? The bike has 11900km

Hi its a 954 its just a bit funny where before the oil change it wasnt as loud when cold than now, i know that the bike had been standing for about 3 months before i got it and i demanded that they change the oil after i rode it with older oil for about 1 week

hi no i havent tried to put 20w50 i just had recently changed the oil and i only rode the bike about 5 times since oil change, i was just thinking that since the bike was standing for a while before i bought it and maybe the oil was thicker(it was dirty)thats why it didnt make as much noise on start up as now.
I dont know if i should just leave it or waste the new oil and change it.
We are in winter here at the moment
