Default Suggestion on steering damper???

I am trying to figure out what steering damper I should get for my 954. Anyone prefer one steering damper over another? Or do they pretty much do the same thing?

well overall they have the same principal and such but i perfet Scotts, i loved it, had it on my 954 for 10k miles and worked great, if you arn't in a hurry look on ebay or just look for the dampner for cheap and get the mounting bracket for your bike, because the dampner is universal, all u would need it kit to install it, GPR is alright, but not as many settings, scotts has many settings and a base and a high speed valve, alot of adjustibilty

Some guy on ebay is selling a Ohlins for a 954. Is Ohlins any good?

ohlins is a great brand but that steering dampner does not have adjustabilty, so if u just do everyday street riding, good dampner from keeping you getting in trouble with a light front end or a pot hole, but if u like to see over 100MPH or do some track or like wheelies, i would go with a scotts ... my 2 cents

I have a Aero Ti. and it is fully adjustable and I like it. It has always worked for me, but I do like the scotts because of its cleaner look

also, i'm not sure about the others, but scotts you can take from bike to bike, just need to buy the mount...but the damper itself you can use on most bikes.

go with the Scotts. It'll cost you a buck or two, but it's definately worth it. I have have mine for about 9K miles and have loved it.

Toby dampener here. It has 17 positions varying from practically no change to almost locked down. Seems to work well about the middle for me.
