BUY BUY BUY!!! you need the steering damper, most popular are scotts, ohlins, and gpr. I have a cheaper buget friendly shindy datona steering damper. tankslap is not a good thing, the steering damper can possibly safe your life or at least your bike. more than worth the 400 dollar investment. or if you are like me on a buget, shindy datona brand new is less than 260. But you defintely need one

how much do you want to spend first off? If you are willing to spend the $400 go with scotts, I have never owned one but LOTS of ppl here will recommend that brand. Gpr and scotts has the same type of damper, Ohlins and hyperpro as well as my shindy daytona are cylinder type dampers they operate a little differently from the scotts and gpr style damper, but they all do the same job. Even a cheaper damper is better than no damper. look at some reviews and choose what you want and what is in your price range.

Get one... Just got home from overseas and had my 954 waiting for me when I made it home. I put on the Scotts Damper before i even rode it and I honestly don't think it mattered either way. About 2 weeks ago i rode a friends R6 and really got on her. the damper makes keeps my bike straight and steady and has kept me good with the steering when i come away from one of those corner wheelies my 954 has found love for. I can tell you now that dampers save lives. one of the best things you can put on a 954.
