Is there any way to keep the R/R from getting so hot?

Probably redirecting air to it somehow.Have not bypassed the tip over sensor yet.Went out on a ride today but did not have an issue this time.Mine happens maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

Yeah mine is every time the bike gets nice and hot. I'm wondering if I can use some heat shielding, etc to help block the heat. But I don't know if it has to be bolted to the frame as a ground or something.

You'll want to leave it bolted to the frame. It acts as a heat sink. R/R shouldn't cause hard starting when hot. I still believe it's vapor lock. Try insulating the fuel line with some heavy duty tin foil.

Did you pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator? If it has gas inside it, then that's a sign it's bad. It's most likely some kind of fuel issue.

Can you post a video of a cold start then hot start for comparison? If it spins slower hot, then it's very possible it's your starter getting heat soaked.

It does spin slower when hot.Almost like if you have a dead battery.

Well if that's the case, then i suspect it's the battery or the starter. I don't know how easy these are to push start, but if that works, then you can rule out a fuel problem.

Any pics of the fuel line are you talking about? I haven't pulled the vacuum line on the FPR since I replaced it 2,000 miles ago with a oem replacement. I also replaced the battery about 300 miles ago so it's fine. I'll try to get some video up of both hot and cold start ups. I cant remember if my bike turns over slower or not when hot. If it does I think it's only slightly slower.
