Default Sold my 954

Well it's been a while since I sold my 954 (early May) and all I have to say is; it was the biggest mistake ever!!!!
I was planning to buy the new 2008 CBR 1000 but with the latest pictures surfing the net on what this thing is suppose to look like I might have to re-consider.
Guess I should of kept my baby, the person who bought it off me got a HUGE ticket about 2 weeks later and re-sold the bike for $7000 ($1000 less than what I sold it for) after he put nearly $2000 worth in it....I was gonna buy it back but I was 10 minutes too late.
So not sure what my plan is now, hope that those pictures of the 2008 CBR 1000 is a farce but I think its a go for HONDA (Idiots)...
Been a HONDA owner for over 17 years and this is the first time I ever considered switching to maybe the 2008 GSXR 1000 or the new 2008 ZX10
Guess I'll wait till the CBR 1000 is actually released to the public first. I am sure its gonna be a wolf in sheep's clothing...cant wait to see the numbers.
So for all you who are thinking of selling their 954 DON'T it's a GREAT bike and I am sure regretting it now.

Yeah...I haven't been around much since I sold the 954...I bought a 27' travel trailer and been doing the out doors thing A LOT!!!! Certainly mis contributing to the 954 page!
I'm thinking I might pick up something new for 2008 but still haven't decided....I want to wait and see this CBR 1000 before I make any decision.

I keep contemplating selling the 954 just because it doesn't have enough power. I now it has a lot of power compared to the 600s but is ~200 HP really that hard for the big 4? Not that I would ever use that much power, but I think it would be nice to have it at my disposal. I think they tune the engines to just ever so slightly out perform the year before.

Can anyone say t-t-t-turbo!

Arkas. Hang in there! Even though the954 is gone. The New 08' 1000 will post some good numbers. Honda has put some new innovative technology into this machine. I dont want to start any rumors. But have it on good authority. (Friend who is a Honda dealer that just returned from Honda convention) This bike will put the liter market to shame! I wouldnt be surprised to see HP numbers at or above 200. Slipper clutch and a bunch of other goodies to make your pickle squirt! Rake has been modified. Handling characteristics that will be unmatched. The tail section can be fixed. Hi-tech or Hot bodies will put a kit out in the blink of an eye! The hard part is getting used to the new bodywork. Just like GM or Ford with the trucks. Always changing. Change is good. It will take some getting used too, but it will grow on you. My inside part guy at my local Honda shop has already put his 07' 1000 on the showroom floor with 4,000 miles, a buttload of aftermarkets, full exhaust etc in preperation for March when his new 08' comes in. Keep your hard earned cash in the bank till Spring. Then make up your mind!

I agree with Ironhead. I talked to a rep that was at the convention. They told him that all of the test riders that rode the 08 1krr consistently put down lap times greater then 1 second over all the other 1000's!The rep was also tellin me that the bike looks beautiful an the internet picsdoit no justice at all. 4 colors- silver. red. maroon. black and yellow. How bad ***! He even gotto throw a legover it and feel its ridingposition.CI find it hard to believe there will be anyperformance disapointments![/align]
