hey everybody new 954 owner here i bout an 02 that had been down slightly scuffed up and some idiot cut the exhaust off right as it comes out from the fairing. it runs like its supposed to but smokes white smoke as revved and slightly while idling. havent run it long due to bent wheel any ideas if maybe its to lean or rich or whats up with this thing. smoke doesnt smell like burnt oil or anything

 

What's the temp outside where ya at? Asking cause depending on the temp it could just be water vapor. Specially if it doesn't smell like anything

 

anywhere between 35-60 degrees depending on the day but it doesnt seem like water vapor because it lingers around? ten minutes later you can see it in the garage

 

anymore answers? anybody?

 

Kinda hard to say with just white smoke as a symptom.

What's your oil look like? Color? Milky oil would say head gasket. Also would cause smoke tho it'd have a smell if the bike is using coolant

 

i just changed the oil yesterday when i drained it it didnt have an unusual look just the used oil look

 

Does it have a power commander?

 

im not sure if it does have a power commander or not? this is my first sport bike where would it be at and what effects would it have in the smok?

 

Most will install it in the trunk area,if faulty mat cause the smoking.If it has one,uninstall it and see if it still smokes.

 

would it be inside the trunk? underneath or where? how does the 954s hold up against say a yamaha r1?
