Hi, I recently got into an accident with my '04 gsxr600 (not my fault) and it was totaled. I am looking for a new bike and the 954 caught my eye. Should i get a 954? What makes them so great and how are the different from the 1000's out there?

 

You might get a few biased answers here, but yeah you should get one. You get a liter bike for the price of a 600... in my opinion the 954 is a better bike than the new 1ks any way just based on sheer looks. get whatevers right for your budget and your mind. sorry about your other bike though, be careful on your next one!

 

Depends what you are looking for. Best part about the 954 is that you can do 400-500 miles days on them if you wanttodue its riding position and the power band is such that it doesn't have any hidden surprises in store for you. Only knock on the bike is that some may say it lacks soul like the ZX-10 and GSXR-1000. The newer 1000s are faster but they also have motors that can cause problems if you are not careful. For example, the R-1 has 20 more hp or so but its stock suspension can't really adequately put all that power to the road.
