Default School me on double bubble windscreens

OK, browsing through some double bubble windscreens pretty casually for now, but it's something I'd like to pick up for my 954. Can you guys tell me why I may or may not want to consider a $25 no-name version versus a Zero Gravity (or similar) model for nearly $100 more.

Tell me what I'm missing if I buy the el cheapo version please! Thanks.

Usually the cheap versions are thinner/flimsy and may/maynot fit when trying to install. I purchased the Zero Gravity double bubble for my past two bikes and will do so again if I get another bike. They are thick/sturdy at speed and the fitment is perfect. The last thing you want is for a cheap windscreen to break and hit you in the face at 120mph.

Ditto above.... i have just bought my 954 (in the UK) and the previous owner had fitted a non descript iridium (yuk) double bubble affair of dubious quality, and it shows, it does not fit that well and just looks tacky and cheap (which it is), i have managed to find a Honda genuine '' touring '' screen which has a slight brown tint to it and fits the bike 100% better and just looks right. Don't go cheap, it always shows.

I noticed the Honda Moto GP bikes look like they are running a stock 954 windscreen shape on their 210 mph bikes. Some of the other bikes look like they may be running a double bubble, but the Hondas are faster for the most part...just an observation.

Bought a ZeroGravity & it didn't fit correctly. Bought a second ZeroGravity...didn't fit correctly AGAIN. Tossed out the idea of using ZG. YMMV.

Have purchased & used both Puig & no-name screens w/ perfect fitment. The no-names are a shot in the dark...some are ok, others not. You really need to have 'em in-hand to know. The no-name I have is as solid as the Puig & the quality is excellent.

Good luck.

my no name is good, it fits, it is hard to tell a difference between the puig and zero gravity when i've been parked to other 954's with them. and it's good way past 120mph (or so i think- wink wink)

Thanks guys. I'm not afraid to spend the money, so that's not really the concern...just want to make sure to spend my money wisely and make sure I'm not spending too much if it's not warranted. I appreciate the feedback!

I have one of the cheap double bubble windscreens from Ebay. It's just as thick as the stock windscreen and have been above 140mph at the drag strip with no problems.

Im sure the no names work fine and do their job as ^^ stated.

I personally have a Puig - does its job, fits well, expensive...

And I left my bike facing towards the sun one time for a couple hours, and now my screen is cracked a lil bit but doesnt effect the performance.

I guess nobody is going to bring up the fact that double bubble windscreens can melt your instrument cluster on a 954? Want proof? I will post pics of the damage caused by puig and another damaged by zero gravity. so far my cheapo eBay one has caused no damage.
