Hey guys so I've got an issue I need to figure out asap I've got an 02 954 with 13k miles Jersey encountered a problem, bike runs like a champ crazy power all gears work no fi lights but recently I have noticed when I'm racing around and using all rpm range on the bike when it hits around 9k rpm in any gear the red light next to my directional at the top pops on for about 3 seconds and cuts the power for those 3 seconds and when it goes out after the rpms lower the bike is fine and light stays out till I hit about 9k rpm again, no fi light comes on when this happens just the red light at the top. Any suggestions please

 

Might that be the rev limiter?

 

Any idea how to check that ? Not sure why or how it would drop from max 13k rpm to 9k
