i mean, ya it will work.
but it will change your front end depending on which top tree you use. if you use the rc51, because it's flat, and thus higher, it will probably lower the front end an inch or so (opposed to stock). that's because it doesnt fit over the lock nuts like the 954 top tree does. if you use the 954 top triple, you'll have to let the forks come up about an inch above the 954 top tree in order to remain the same height as a stock 954. if you put the forks even with the 954 top tree, you'll be raising the bike an inch or so

i think a gixxer front end will require different bearings (i'm not for sure though).
however, i really really wanted to go BPF or ohlins front end on my fighter at first (before i went the easy route with 1000rr forks), so i was searching all different makes, kawi, suzuki, aprillia, and ducati to see what would work. i used this site
Fork conversion All ***** Racing
now, that is for using entire front ends.... and it's conversion bearings for the front ends for your 954.
i believe the reason you don't see some of the other brands on that site is due to the stem length being different. if you have access to a machine shop with a press, it *should* be possible to adapt a 954 stem into any other triple.
the one thing you want to watch out for when swapping front ends are the stops on the lower tree. sometimes they can be set up different and give you almost no turning radius.
let me know which route you decide to go.

I got a great deal on a 954 front end,so I'll be using that.I was thinking of going with the RC 51 front end cause the springs are set more for my weight.Hot Bodies has a great deal on track fairings right now,Buy one get one free.I have a friend who wants to get a set as well,so we'll split the cost.Hopefully get this bike together in the next couple of months.
