i used to run 110 straight in my race quad but it also had 13.5:1 comp..but ive ran likemixed super & race fuel just for an added bonus in my stock bikes also..so my question is will it hurt mycbr at all running race fuelmixed on a stock piston?

 

I haven't done it, but the main problem with running them in new applications is they will mess up 02 sensors. Since ours dont have any i dont see why not.

Added bonus? Of what? Less money in your wallet? In actuallity you are going to make the combustion LESS efficient by adding a higher octane mix and if your intension was to increase power........you are sadly mistaken.
The higher octane is harder to ignite....your measly 11.5:! compression isnt **** with an all aluminum motor, hardly enough to warrant 93 octane let alone 100+.
I'm curious as to why you would want to make the cumbustion cycle less efficient and call that a bonus?

 

It does however help the pre-detonation that cheap / low octane fuels can cause in a performance engine. I am pretty confident on a stock motor its not going to be a issue, but spinning 10k rpms in a very warm motor (our bikes do run warm by most standards) i could see it being somewhat beneficial in that department.

It DOES smell real nice........ but unless you unhook your radiator you couldn't possibly make that motor detonate if it's stock on pump gas. You would be hard pressed to get it to detonate on 87 octane, even then with out bumping either the timing or the compression you simply do not have enough timing advance or compression to do it.
Waste of money, but it's not mine so by all means.....give it hell.

You are right, it does help with detonation.......on a very high compression motor with the timing cranked well beyond what your bike is capable of and still be streetable. It would need to be over 13:1 to warrant that kind of octane on a liquid cooled motorcyel. It would be nice......compression boosts torque across the board so it's a nice mod if you can afford to run $6+/gallon of gas.

 

the biggest worry you need to have is most race gas in not unleaded. leaded fuel will take its toll on you motor over time and burn the rings and make you bike start to smoke. if you only run it once in a blue you will be fine

 

I agree with gixxereater. Waste of money to run that in a stock motor. There is no need for it unless you like to hassle with mixing gas and spending more money for the same performance...
