How much would you guys pay for 03 954 with 9000 miles. Clean and well maintained with extras like PC, corbin seat, gear indicator, zerograv, etc? No accidents. titanium color?? this is in west coast. Asking price was like 7500.

 

To me it seems pretty high for a bike with that many miles, although taking into consideration its an 03. I got an 02 with 5000 miles plus the factory warranty until 2008 for $6500. I dont think Id do it. Seems to me you could get a better price on it. Did you check the blue book?

 

I would offer $5500 and see if he counters with a realistic price. I think it is worth between $6000 and $6500.

BTW, how is 954 compared to F4i in terms of smoothness in throttle control, stability in cornering?
I love riding canyons and thinking 600RR or 954RR.
Is ergos lot worse for few hours riding?
I know it weighs the same and broad range torque and plenty of power!

 

40more horsepower for the same weight, who cares about the handling hahaha i think it acts a bit heavy but i advice a steering damper first chance as heavy as it may feel compaired to a 600 it will get away from ya when it gets pumpy especially if ur on the power...of all the liter bikes tho i think the 954 is the most comfortable

 

I love my 954 it makes riding a bike super easy and is the best bike Ive had the opportunity to ride.

 

+1 on the steering damper. Feels twice as stable and has a reputation for headshake due to crappy steering head bearings which they had a recall on.

 

Wow, a crappy head bearings??? Even a little F4i is pretty stable without a damper. What's with 954 head??
I was also told that PC had to be installed to get rid of jerkiness in throttle.
So a 954 needs more attentions than a F4i in general?

 

Is there any way to tell if the recall was performed on my 954?
