Well im new here as a member and i would like to know where can i get a map for my pc3. I had my 954 since september of last year and it came with a Arata slip on,pc2 and a bmc filter. I had recent did a port and polish also shaved the head. But never tune my pc3 after that.

 

I'd recomend dyno tuning it won't cost more than 300 bucks. Why put the money into it and then cheap out on the most important part.

 

Thats what i have plan for next week. I had put it on a free dyno run and the guy said that it jumps from rich to lean back and forth after 122 mph on 103.66 Hp. i don't really know what that means but i know that my hp sucks at the moment.

 

After a good tune you should be able to pull a muchbetter number than that, don't forget to post up the dyno chart

 

Any map you put on your bike is specifically tuned to the bike it was created from. if you put a map on your bike from the internet it can actually cost you horsepower depending on where the map was done. I recommend only to get a custom map, otherwise you may as well take it off.

ya exactly.. 103.. guy is an idiot.. because stock bike or even in bad condition should be 125..130 LOWEST.... i had 130 stock.. 137 after tuning and slip on with air filter

 

I had said that AFTER 122 mph on 103.66 HP the bike runs from rich to lean back and forth. My bikehas real slow gains of hp after it hits 122mph, at the end is 125 HP. I know that my bike has to have more HP than that. They had free dyno runs at Riva Yamaha and there was a guy that had a 06 gsxr 1000 and his HP ended up being 127. Im thinking there must of been something wrong with that dyno machine. I still need to get it tune to give it that last touch. once i figure how to put the dyno chart on here I will post it up so that you guys could have better understanding of whatI am talking about.

 

still doesn't make sense because HP is measured at RPM's.. or peak HP not at a certain mph.. you can hit 122 in several gears

 

Thats true i wasn't thinking about that. i just hope that the problem is getting it tune. I had went down one on my front sprocket could that be part of the problem? I notice my RPMs jumbs up fast.
