Default PC III installation

i recently purchased a pc iii for my 03 954. What is the best way to disconnect the factory plugs so that i can complete the install? i am having a hard time moving my hands around under the tank. do i need to remove the tank completely, or am i just doing something wrong?

Might make it easier to remove the air box but not necessary.

are you propping the tank up using the prop stick that is located under the seat? if so, that thing is crap. what i do (and did to get the pciii in there) is i take a rachet strap set, hook one end to a bracket for my garage door on the ceiling of the garage, and the other end of the rachet straps go to one of the two holes in front of the tank, then you can rachet the tank as far as it will tilt up, and it gives a whole lot more room

Thanks guys. I am a little short on time during the week, but I will have another go at it on Saturday afternoon. Keep your computers close.

I would remove the tank completely giving you maximum room to run the wires and work.

Just do it on a cooler day rather than a hot day. You'll get a better tune.
