Default painting air ducts

Has anyone painted there air ducts before? I want to paint mine flat black...which they pretty much come stock but have faded over the years. Think just a spray can would work? any sanding b4 spraying? I pretty much just want to do this to make the ducts match the swingarm and rearsets i just got back from powder. Since the frame was a hard color to match and the arms a little darker, i figured this would seperate it a little bit. Any info on spray canning it would be great thanx.

Krylon Fusion spray paint (get it a WalMart) ... its made to bond to plastics and the finish lasts for a long time ... plus, it's just the airducts so you can take them off and repaint as needed pretty easily ... This is what I used for my 600 and it turned out great.

The Fusion paint bonds nicely but has a limited color selection. Use it for a primer or adhesion coat the put whatever you want over it!

Sorry it bonked on you man ... i know how frustrating it can be to have to start over when you are doing mods yourself, but the reward of knowing and telling others you did it is a great feeling ... they do look good ... the flat fusion will work much better I'm sure ... if it is cool where you are then do what I do ... Paint them outside then immediatley bring them in your house in a seperate room where people are not (for fumes obviously). I actually do this no matter what the weather is because I can control the temp and humid inside my house. I think it makes a big difference.

The air ducts look nice Psycho. I wanted to do mine but just haven't yet. The Krylon does work good. I painted all the plastics on my bike with a few cans of that and so far so good. I'll probably do my ducts over the weekend. Give me something to do cause its raining here.
