If you do a search for best oil filter, or motorcycle oil filters, you will find a ton of data on opinions based on cut open filters. The Purolator website also says they are the top ranked based on SAE test data. I'm still trying to find that info to copy and paste.

the one downside that most people point out is that the pure one media looks like it is bunched up and will restrict flow. However, more media is better, especially if it filters really fine particulate. Plus, it's not like you are trying to filter rocks. Small stuff won't clog the pleats, and if it does, it would help to have more pleats. Anyway, with the high quality oil we use on our bikes, and the change interval we use, I doubt anyone would ever see a problem with one.

Just for fun I tried to fire the bike up and it turned over. Idles fine. When I rev it the engine sounds like some sort of animal meeting its doom. The noise gave me the chills. Anyone want a video of an engine that is compeltely #$%^#$ed?

bobjoe, remember it took me a week to build the courage to change the spark plugs?

Itll take me at least a month to want to tear an engine apart.

bobjoe, I started to piece a rebuild kit together, but I really want a master kit. Do you know of anyone that puts a master kit together for the 954? I want all seals, gaskets, rings, pistons, bearning, etc.
