Default OEM exhaust modification?

I am saving for a new exhaust but it will be a few months. Anyone know of a way to modify the stock exhaust to make it louder without completely ruining it? By the way since this is my first post on here I figured I would share a pic of my bike. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the board! Nice bike you got there

I've heard some stock pipes that people have drilled out and they usually sound bad ... bad as in sucky sound not bad as in badass.

Thanks, and I was afraid of that. I just want cars to be able to hear me better, the stock exhaust is soooo quiet

I cut down my stock exhaust on my 03. Guess it depends what kind of sound your looking for. Definitely louder after I cut it.

I am interested as to what is involved in cutting it down. Any pics or tutorials out there anywhere on it. Could be a reasonable short term solution

I just measured from the hanger that is welded to the pipe to the end, then measure that distance out on the longer side so it looked even from the welded on hanger..if that makes sense. Drilled out the factory rivets to take the tip off. Then took a ban saw and cut her off and pop riveted it back on.

Just for $hits and giggles how bout doing a before and after. Would be interested to see what kind of difference that mod would make. I have known people to drill 1/2" holes in the baffles but that makes an awful hollow tinny sound. If you feel up to it a how to with pics would be nice ... hint, hint

Default Discounts?

LOL, okay.... I got home earlier than I thought today so I thought I would give it a go. Sooooo... my next question is, as a member of this forum, do we get discounts on mufflers anywhere? Don't really have the time to get the videos, pics and story up at the moment but I will try and get them up tomorrow if work isn't to busy.
