No EGCV... what should I do???
So come to find out, I have no EGCV, no servo motor, no cables leading to the exhaust valve. or anything of that nature... I dont know if the valve in the exhaust is open or closed- whats best? Thecode 34 is always present, (till I ride then it stays lit). IS this gonna affect performance or mileage? I dont want to hurt the bike. What is the bestoptionin my current situation?
Should I change the exhaust system and get a pc3 to try to tune the A/F to run semi normal again. I am sooooooo lost right now, and have no idea what im dealing with. Anyone ever come across this before??? Thanks again- you guys are great !!!!!

RE: No EGCV... what should I do???
Yea its stock... Can I get an aftermarket system that will eliminate the EGCV system? What do people do when an aftermarket system is installed? Doesent that remove the valve? I also have no servo motor, cables or intake flap in the airbox... As of now, when i give it wide open throttle at any rpm it boggs down and the rpms slowly increase to catch up... I get no hard accelerationfrom hammering the throttle- I have to ease into it...

I think if I was in your position I would pull that exhaustassemblyout to see what your were workin with. If the valve is in place and you have nothing like the servo or wires there to make it work I would remove the actual valve until I got a full system or a HASS eliminator to replace that EGCV. Yes you will have to tune it with something like a Power Comander but if the bike has one no big deal. HASS eliminator is $120, will fix your problem and it comes with a PCIII map.
Another option is looking for a EGCV setup on ebay. You never know what you can find. Might just be what you are looking for.

RE: No EGCV... what should I do???
K so i just bought a arrow carbon fiber 1/2 exhaust systemoff e-bay for $300. It comes with the servo motor, cables, exhaust valve, mid pipe and carbon fiber can. This should be all that I need to fix the problem. I know that i sill need a power commander to tune it all to get the most out of the system, but is it worth tuning? or can I just run it without a pc3 till I can afford one? will it hurt to run the exhaust system and filter only?
