I am currently working on fixing my upper and headlight. I looked on E-Bay and found one for $115 plus shipping. The headlight is about $100. I went to the Honda Dealership and they said "Buy IT!!" I guess that is a good price? I am new at this so any advice would be appreciated. I did buy bar ends and new grips and slider bars, but I am not sure how hard it is to change the upper and headlight housing. If anyone has experience with this please take time to share with me.

very easy and worth your time..... yes a new headlight from honda is like 355.. and a new upper is like 299 or something.. buy it

Hey yo CRoberts, is the upper fairing a white fiberglass fairing? thats what it sound like to me wit the price cause i bought one from "akumaracing" i think.....there is nothin wrong wit it besides its alil heavier and when boltin up it, it is slightly offwhich means u gotta kind of make it fit......I bought one when i got my bike painted and decided that i didnt really like the tabs on it so i sold it to a guy on here who was sellin his bike and needed something cheap and fast.......i went threw www.ronayers.com and bought a brand new from the factory with the factory paint scheme for like 250.....get the headlight off of ebay, and if you cant find a oem good used one for a good deal go to ronayers. i bidded on a front fairing from ebay with slight road rash and it end up selling for 300 shipped, thats when i realized that ebay is not always the cheapest route and ended up wit a brand new from ronayers for 50 bucks less. shop around first dont buy somethin ur not gonna be satisfied with.

 

Hey Pimpn, Thanks for the advise, bro. The guy I bought the bike from told me to try e-bay for parts and I don't mind things like frame sliders and bar ends, but an upper I am weary about. I don't want to have to modify anything I just wanted to buy it and install it ya know? Thanks for the ronayers heads up, the headlight is cheaper there.

Thanks Bobjoe. I looked at those two before I came on here. I am sceptical about the Headlight from Thialand. Do you advise me bidding on it? I would love a brand new one like that but I am very weary of E-Bay. I see the upper earlier too, but my bike is blacked out, and I would need a blacke upper (solid) or I would have to paint.
Do you reccommend me spending the $$?

hmm ya i didn't see it was from thialand.. i rarly ever buy things overseas.. try to stay in USA but.. here is a site.. and a few numbers to call ... try these. good prices.. call all 4 numbers.. get the lowest price and then call the second lowest price and tell them you got a lower price and they will usually beat it. i have done it for a few different parts.... or else ya if it's a OEM used part i have bought alot of those parts off ebay i hate dealerships...
