new shorty and swinger
so my bike was in pieces this week getting the forks redone and new tires.. so i finally got around to cutting my leo vance sbk into a shorty.. also painted the swinger black.. race filter and -1 +2 gearing... all i gotta say is i should have done this the first day i bought her about three yrs ago... feels like a new bike and looks sweet

it looks good. i don't know why its the way it is, but you'd think that a nice staniless looking swingarm would look better than black....
but for some reason, a blacked out swinger just does it for me. its much cleaner. and good job cuttin the shorty. i can't stand the big *** cans. too bulky, too quiet

o i know! its rediculous! i never understood why it was so big and bulky. i mean, it goes against what the 954 was about. small, lightweight, nimble. - but big bulky huge exhaust... - just doesn't make sense
I seriously hate the f*cking 954/929 3/4 pipe. Why does the 2 into 1 have to be exposed? Is this large 3'' plus pipe necessary???
I went the other way and removed the black paint on the frame. I used a scotch brite scrub sponge of all things and some rubbing compound. I started using 320 grit sand paper on the textured portion. It's hard to get all the black off that lower portion of the frame.
I just noticed our exhausts are identical except for mine is the carbon fiber can.

i dont really have a b4 pic but the exhaust was about and inch or so past the tail in length, painting the rear swinger was easy just used some autozone bedliner paint. ive painted a few F2, f3 and f4i frames with the stuff and it holds up great..
