New (to me) '02 954. What do I need to know?
Hi Everyone,
I picked up an 02 two days ago. It included an 18 month warranty from the local dealer. What else do I need to know? I'm not a mechanic by any stretch, but I can manage a bit. It has just over 16k miles.
What kind of maintenance do I need to do? Regular chain lubes?
It appears to be almost completely stock, I think. I see the sliders. Anyone notice anything else? It looks like a fender delete but the light bulb for the plate is just hanging down. (Sorry the pic doesnt show the tail) Should I just zip tie that up?
What other mods are worthwhile and not too expensive? The exhaust will go at some point. Can I easily make the mirrors a bit wider? I can't see behind me no matter what I do. I also wish there was a bit more room for the shift lever-I have large feet. Is that doable?
I don't have any other pics, but here you go.
Thanks!

I would recommend a Gilles shift holder support, it aids the link arm that goes into the gear box and assists gear changes, lovely bit of kit.... i also swapped my standard rear shock for an Ohlins... now that is a real change, i would say that investing your cash in better tyres, suspension and a good set up of both front and rear shocks would be the way to go, just try and stay away from the blingy tat that really makes any bike look low rent and cheap... safe journeys.
