There is another way to test the servo motor.Remove front seat, next to battery on right hand side there is a black connector that is loose.Put a jumper wire in between both slots, turn key servo motor should move freely,if not it's bad.
pull the cover off of the htev and watch it. you have to rev the bike up to 4000 and then 7000 rpms. if it's not moving right, it could be as simple as the cables aren't connected right. it happened to me when i was rebuilding my repsol. i hooked it up wrong and got the code, fixed the cables, and it went away.
since you have had this problem since you got the bike, i'd start there.
the easiest way to check is to un-do the cables, and then let the bike run, rev again to 4k and 7k with the cables NOT hooked up, it should go away. if that's the case, in the manual it tells you how to hook it up right.
if that's not the case, you can buy a used one off of ebay for $30.

thanks guys, yeah i got the creaper out and pulled the little shiny panel off the side where the cabels go , no rocks, dang, but i did grab it by hand and it seemed to turn pretty freely, so yeah next thing is i'll try the jumper idea
i dont think the bike has been apart to many times for someone to get the cabels mixed up but i'll check into that too

ok tried the jumper thing couldnt tell if anything was happening but this time the damn servo thingy was making a pretty good clicking noise, i'll be sure to take the cables off as soon as i get a chance now
