how are all of you. i will be in this section of the forum for about 3 weeks, asking for tips and advice. if you want to know more about me go to the new people section. but i threw a rod, iv never worked on bikes before. but have all the tools and hopfuly the knowhow. Ill be takig my bike and motor apart and puting new pistons, robs, and crank shaft in. and fixing any other red flags i see. witch has been 2 MAJOR things iv see sofar in the disasebaly proses.....

does anyone know of a haynes or any other manual i can downlad free online. the only thing im atall worried about is the electricalharness on the reasemble. that and is the frame based around the motor Ie. will i have to take the frame apart to take the motor out. or can i just pop out the motorand translike a car?

Ps. its a 2002 cbr954rr

Dude i had to take the head off my 954 the first week I had it, THEY stripped the sparkplug threads.... Watch out for those head bolts- I snapped two taking the head off!!! Gasket kits are expensive, and i hope the rod didnt cause any other damage. How many miles are on the bike? wiring is foolproof. you will be fine- when do you plan on having it done?

im getting a jack tomorow, and i will have the motor striped completly in 2 days, check to make sure the block isnt scrached or cracked. i bought used rods pistions and and crank shaft. i need to rethread this hole for the sproket that conects to the motor to hold the chain, cuz it was melted and fell out when i to the plastic off (that made my stomach turn!) i also have to replace the little electric motor for the air induction door thing. but i took it all apart very orgainized and if i for 6 days a week like i normaly do. ill have the bike all wraped up in 2 weeks or so i hope!!!!!

but just to let yall know. i think im going to go to start going toschool for bikes, im realy in love right now, this is so much better than cars!! none of the BS. just pure muscle!

Good deal! As mentioned, wiring harness is cake, green to green, red to red, black to black, etc, cant mess it up, just remember where it was routed. Good luck! have fun!
