Need a question answered.
Here's the story...
I bought a bike from a guy who buys and resells bikes.
I was told the bike was fine to insure after rebuilding it...
to my surprise the day comes to insure it and I can't insure it because it's been titled irrebuildable...
so I throw an investigation into the previous owner and insurance company, and come out empty handed.
I'm lookig for any advice that can help me get this perfectly good running bike insured.
any ideas?

RE: Need a question answered.
Wow, that sucks. Most states have a "salvage" title. I've never heard of an irrebuildable title. If the insurance company totals a bike it should have a salvage title. After it is fixed you can take it to your local DMV to show them that it is infact rebuilt and perfectly road worthy and you can apply for a new title. Check your local laws and see what the deal is. I know the DMV sucks to deal with, but you will have to at some point anyway. Ask a local constable if need be. I dont have a perfect answer for you, I think it lies with the DMV.
