Mich pilot power sticks well on the streets, don't take to long to heat up. They are many places you can look. You just have to catch the right deal!

I have the Bridgestone battleaxe tires. Quite a few people run them on their bikes but maybe they are cheap I dont know.

You THINK the stock tires are good. Put some Metzlers or equivilent tires on your bike and you'll truely see....feel....the difference. The stock tires are a harder compound...they last a bit longer but it feels like you are riding on wood. The is a HUGE difference once you start getting nicer tires. You're looking at about $250 for the back tire installed.

I have 7300 miles on the OE Pilot Sport's. The rear is just about gone (more down the middle obviously) measuring at 3/32" but has 5/32" on outer edges. The front is at 5/32" all around. Replacement will definitely be the PilotPower. Thinking of replacing just the rear. Anybody have any feedback on that? Looks like MotoXOutlet.com has the best price on a new 180/55/17 PP...$138.99 shipped to the door.

I would personally replace both Woody, you will notice the new on front the first turn you make, even though there is meat left its going to be a bit flat in the middle, plus you will be on a matched set.

Metzeler RaceTech K2's are definitely the way to go! More stick than Power Race tires and half as long to heat up. If you plan on scrubbin the edges they are definitely the tire for it. They only come on a 55 though so you will have to do some suspension tweaking to get it dialed back in though.
