RE: Need new tires
correct size is : 120/70/17 front
190/50/17 rear
you can go to a 200 for a different look but will lose some handeling.. if on the track or taking alot of corners some people go down to a 180 on the rear which is stock for a 600cc
i love the pirelli diablos...... go on ebay for a set.. little over 200 bucks shipped...

The pilots are good, that being said i prefer the Metzlers myself, no fact or anything behind them i just like the tire for my riding habits. For the rear tire you can go anywhere from a 180 to a 200 rear like Bob said, i run the 200 personally and i dont feel any differance between it and the stock 190 size and i run them pretty hard.

I got a set of Conti Road Attacks and I love them...

I did some research and many riders are switching over to them and BMW is putting them on their new bikes as OEM tires. They are sweet tires and feel super sticky. I went with the 180 rear, seems to handle "quicker".

RE: Need new tires
I just bought my second Metlzer. The first was a M1....awesome tire...very soft. I loved the tire though, great grip, very good ride. Unfortunately, I collected a nail in it, so I upgraded to the new Metzler M3. I've only got about 500 miles on the new one...but damn, nice tire. About $250 installed, but worth it. check it out.
