Would these work for my 2002 954? I heard about some yellow hid's being better for visability, is this true and where can I find them if so? Thanks for any help, it will be greatly appreciated as visability is important on a bike.

hmm dont know a whole lot abouit HID'S but.. seem pretty cheap and also the wattage might be too much.. bite burn your light housing and shuch..

 

I have these installed on mine,and you can not imagine how bright they are.They really light up the darkness.I have the 6k on all three lights,and they only use 35w compare to 55w for stock.I haven't had any problems.

 

Hey Letsride, you have those exact ones that the link mowdiddy posted a link to? I was looking at those things too a while ago, really interested. I was curious if they came with the bulbs or if I would have to get those seperate...

 

It came with the bulbs.The shipping is really fast I got them in a day

Where did you mount the ballast?Ive been interest also but didnt know where to mount the ballast.i was concerned about the heat from the ballast.

 

I believe the ballast puts off very very little heat... you can mount them anywhere inside the fairings (or anywhere they're not at risk for getting too wet in the rain or a wash)

 

I put mine in the sides,1 where the radiator cap is and 2 in the other side.Makes it easier to wire it all up.I have not had any problems with heat.
