Default MPG - what are you getting?

This may have been covered, but didn't show any results when I searched so figured I'd post a new one.

Wondering what everyone's MPG is looking like? I know it has mostly to do with riding style, but just looking for a general idea if I'm doing good or bad. I filled up then the fuel light came on 80 miles later, topped off with another 3.7 gallons. So figure I'm getting about 21 mpg. Seems that my 900 got much better than that (35-40mpg range). I'm planning on replacing the plugs, oil change, & coolant soon so it might help a bit. Just got the bike so wanted to ride before winter hits, just seems that I'm not doing too good on the fuel consumption. I think the PC3 needs to be tuned, smells like she's running rich a bit.

I was getting around 35 miles per gallon before my fuel pressure regulator went. When it went mid ride a few days ago I was lucky if I was getting 20-23 (obviously a bunch of fuel was leaking into the vaccum). I dont know what others get, but; if your bike started running fat all the sudden Id check out your fuel pressure regulator that is what happened to mine when the regulator went.

i get around 120 miles to the tank before the light goes on.

it really depends on how you ride and how long you ride. when i was in college and my classes weren't even 5 miles away, i was only getting 90 to the tank. it was because i was starting it, letting it warm up, then riding 3-5 miles, then shutting it off. now i start it, let it warm up, and will ride 20 miles to work if i'm commuting and much more when i'm just out for a ride.

I went 131.7 miles, no fuel light, it took 3.54 gallons to fill. That's 37.2mpg. I've gotten close to 50mpg and that's not highway miles. I'd guess I could get 60mpg on the interstate in full tuck at 70-75mph.

I got 44mpg (highway) on my buell 1125cr and it's a gas guzzler, so I know the 54 can beat that.

completely stock except exhaust.

Well I've got a full system and PC3, it must need to be tuned cause I'm not getting anywhere near those mileages, at least not on the first tank I ran through.

Would a full system really decrease full economy by that much? I suppose if the mapping was super off I guess? You need to check her out I suppose.

I get right around 38mpg all the time. Doesn't seem to matter how i ride. Ride hard or casual, city or highway. And i have pc3, exhaust, intake flapper mod. I couldn't imagine you having all that too and being that low. Even if the pc needed to be dialed in more. I would check the regulator.

it would decrease fuel mileage, but not to where it would make a difference to where you'd be concerned about it

Ya, check your regulator mine got the same fuel mileage as yours when mine went out a week ago. I just got her back today with new plugs and regulator (the plugs were fouled all to hell from runnin fat) and the bike runs like a raped ape.
