having only been out on my new blade three times.

after owning a cbr600 f it seems to be lumpy down low.

is this normal?

i am sure the bike is stock apart from a Harris end can.

any feedback on this guys?

 

join the club maxinho mines exactly the same, only had mine for 2wks ive read up quite a bit on this issue and its seems to be normal
My mate has the same bike same yr and his doesnt do it but he has standard CAN on his so maybe thats the issue ??

had the same on my VFR VTEC and plugging the flapper hose worked a treat but i haven't tried it on the blade

what a flapper hose?

 

reading up it doesnt do anything for the blade so i wouldnt bother

could try putting the standard CAN back on or just live with it which is what most people do i think

or check your fuel pressure regulator

 

The 954 was not designed to ride around under 2500 rpm. Switching between the stock muffler and an aftermarket bolt-on will not make any difference. If you are running a stock exhaust making sure the htev between the header and midpipe is adjusted and working properly will help in the low rpms.

The flapper is in the airbox. It is controlled by the same servo motor that controls the htev. Its only purpose is to decrease intake noise. It can be removed completely from the airbox.

 

Most if not all 954's will stumble around 3RPM's on the Tach. A nice flat fuel/air curve with a custom map will cure it. Or just wring it out and move through that part of your tach! : )

mine also sounds like a bag of tools being shaken is that normal too ? sounds bit like a ducati but runs fine bar the low rev stumbling
